Paris Jackson models leather outfit made out of mushrooms
Fungi, but it’s fashion.
Stella McCartney released two pieces made from mushroom alternative leather on Wednesday. Paris Jackson starred in the campaign.
According to a press statement, the singer, aged 22, stunned in a black top and pants made out of Mylo. Mylo faux leather is vegan and comes from the “infinitely-renewable underground root system of mushrooms.”
Jackson’s many tattoos are visible in the sleeveless style even though she did not show the new neck color she added in March.
McCartney, 49, is famous for her environmentally conscious fashions, and hers is the first luxury label in the world to launch garments made out of the “next-generation material,” which she worked with Bolt Threads to perfect.
Bolt Threads and I have shared a commitment to create a more compassionate fashion industry, one that produces beautiful, luxurious materials, rather than the death of other creatures,” the designer stated in the release.
McCartney is far not the first celeb to collaborate with McCartney on the campaign. In fact, she recently partnered alongside Taylor Swift and Grimes.
While McCartney and Jackson both have famous fathers – Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, respectively – they also have a shared passion for the environment.
The young singer is vocal about her activism, telling Teen Vogue in 2017 that she has “cared about the wellness of animals and the environment” since childhood.
The faux leather campaign comes after Page Six exclusively reported that Jackson was spotted getting “chummy” with “Into the Wild” star Emile Hirsch, 35, during a night out with “The Hills” cast on Tuesday night.
A source previously told us that the pair has a “purely platonic” relationship, despite dating rumors.
